The direction of the front nose portion of the TrussLox Spreader Bar (SB) is a matter of preference. The TrussLox SB front nose can be positioned toward the stationary truss (or “flying” the SB into the set truss) seems to be the preferred method of use or you can set a truss with the SB attached in the direct to receive the incoming truss, both methods will work.

TrussLox recommends that you follow the industry standard set forth by your truss manufacturer specifications. Use your truss manufacturers suggested guidelines for temporary bracing spacing.

You may remove the TrussLox Spreader Bars upon sheathing placement. If other means of bracing is installed at that point, TrussLox Spreader Bars can be removed and re-bundled with our TrussLox carry strap. The TrussLox Spreader Bars are ready to be reused on your next building project.

TrussLox recommends that you follow the industry standard set forth by your truss manufacturer specifications. TrussLox recommends one (1) TrussLox Spreader Bar (SB) per 25 square feet for a typical truss bracing building (1 SB / 25 sq. ft.).

These two holes, located along the top spine of the TrussLox Spreader Bar behind the front nose section and the rear shoe, can be used for additional holding security if needed, as the spreader bar is placed onto the truss and is optional. This method can be useful in a high wind situation where additional strength is needed.

Limited Warranty: TrussLox LLC works diligently to provide the highest quality, Made-in-USA products that are free of manufacturing defects in workmanship and materials. TrussLox LLC will not warranty products against normal everyday use, modifications, improper use, damage, negligence or if product is used for a purpose for which it was not designed. TrussLox LLC places job site safety first, and if the end user experiences a product failure within ninety (90) days of purchase, the end user may request a (Step 1) Warranty Review from TrussLox LLC direct, and with the submission of a detailed incident report by emailing: info@trusslox.com. The end user will be required to send photos of whole product, and of the compromised area of the product. (Step 2) If TrussLox engineers require the product to be returned, the end user will ship the product prepaid, along with the Product Proof of Purchase Receipt (dated within 90 days of purchase), to TrussLox LLC, 2033 Main Street, Billings, MT 59105. TrussLox LLC engineers will inspect and evaluate the product to determine cause of the defect. If the product is deemed as a manufacturer defect, and is within the limited warranty terms, TrussLox LLC will replace the product directly to the end user at no additional charge.

READ PRIOR TO TRUSSLOX SPREADER BAR INSTALLATION:
1. TrussLox Spreader Bars are intended for temporary truss bracing ONLY.
2. TrussLox Spreader Bars do NOT prevent lateral sway of trusses. Follow truss manufacturers recommendation for truss sway prevention.
3. Do NOT walk or stand on TrussLox Spreader Bars – this tool is NOT a step.
4. Prior to TrussLox Spreader Bar installation, inspect each tool for cracks, wear, and/or compromised areas. Dispose of any damaged tools.
5. The screw holes on the top portion of the TrussLox Spreader Bars may be utilized for additional securing purposes on truss members.
6. Set each truss into correct position and secure TrussLox Spreader Bar as shown in the instructional video on our website at www.trusslox.com.
7. Use your truss manufacturers suggested guidelines/specifications for temporary bracing placement.
8. Use caution when removing TrussLox Spreader Bars from truss members. Do NOT drop from roof. TrussLox Spreader Bars is designed with a nose hole that may be used for lowering tools safely from the roof to the floor with a rope or cable.
